Ok so this was cool.

A castle nestled in the Bavarian mountains by many lakes and resembling the Walt Disney one that tried to copy it.

Too bad a lot of it was being renovated but overall, definitely had that fairy tale castle feeling. — checked in to Schloss Neuschwanstein.

Lucky to have just witnessed this gorgeous alpine sunset! Bavarian Alps @ Schloss Neuschwanstein — at Schloss Neuschwanstein.

Yes! If beer had a place of worship, this would be it. — checked in to Hofbräuhaus München - Das Original.

As we left Switzerland, passed through Austria, and entered Germany, things felt different somehow. Not just the fact that we could drive as fast as our rental would allow us, but also something in the air. Real. Practical. Poignant.

Food has been nothing but delicious. Can’t believe we drank so much beer during the day and felt sober. Love the community feel of beer halls (indoor, outdoor, in the middle of the plaza). Everyone so friendly. People from all over the world (traveling or have moved here).

The ornate churches surrounded by beautiful plain and functional buildings. The traditional villages covered with solar panels and wind mills. The crazy fast yet respectful drivers on the autobahn.

We had never imagined, but Germany deserves our attention and will get it in the future when we return to spend quality time here.

 — at Marienplatz.
